How about a board for pets. I for one would love to be reacquainted with man eating cats!

I've added a Pets board alongside the Cafe, which are both now grouped under a new Off Topic heading.

How about an "off grid" sub forum? We had many "those that cannot be named" from before. I would like to put my own experiences up if there is a suitable slot somewhere..

A simple "favourite links compendium" would be useful, User inputted with an explanatory paragraph.

Any chance of a heading gives you a list of unread posts, which we had in the old forum? Recent topics is helpful, but you have to skip through posts to find any unread messages...

It does that for me. Highlights them in red. Maybe there is a setting?

Depending, I suppose, on how often you browse the forum (logged in), there’s a red ‘page’ icon next to a thread with a post unread by the user.

Disappears when you’ve opened the thread.

ah, thanks. I will get used to it. In the old forum there was an option to just bring up only unread posts at the top of the page.
