Greetings!
Here under my actual name, having retired from the off-grid world some years back, so now no association with any particular company, installation, ideology.
I remember when ... settings were done by jumper blocks on live circuit boards, logging usage by modified battery alarm clocks, and f̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ augmenting the off-griddery by running gennies when no visitors. Not an "app" in sight. 6V "submarine" batteries anyone?

batteries of 6V - for some value of 6V! Like the Trojan ones.
UPDATE: Busbars to be double taped, and varnished, the cells to be wedged in their holders with wooden wedges soaked in paraffin wax, and trimmed with a special saw ...
