Nice to see some old names on this new Forum.

I promise not to upset anyone!

Yes still at it out here in France, its over 20 years now.

Out of 12 buildings here just 2 left for re-build to passive house standards etc.

Never have enough renewable energy.

Hi Clockman, good to hear from you again, remember and keep us updated on your ongoing renovations, wind turbine maintenance/repair, etc.

Long term installed renewables are as much interest as new kit, (with a lot more data & living experience).
As well as comparing (in renovations) "how you did it last time compared to how you upped the ante"
Welcome back

I'd love to see a revisit of the tracker installation!

Nowty has reshared his stream-under-house lemonade-out-of-lemons heatpump project. Something similar about your tracker would be amazing!

Thank you so much for the Welcome.

Thanks to, Joeboy, Mart, Tinbum, Fintray, Mr Gus, Stan, Stinsy and ecoGeorge.

As most of you are aware i spent most of my time nowadays posting on USA forum 'Fieldlines' and the Australian 'Backshed'. Where the forum moderators are very supportive of what and where we are going.

Trackers are all behaving, although last year i change 2 of the LED East to West circuits and sensors and fitted 'RedRock' USA simple circuits that work very well and use 2 FET's and drive direct my actuators, ie no flipping relays. They operate every 5 minutes or so and operate the actuators for just 2 seconds each time, so energy use is very minimum. My friend in Australia 'Dave' is no longer suppling his simple circuits, as he is very unwell.

However i no longer recommend Solar trackers, as the gain is only 20% to 30% more than array of the same output. My trackers can only take 8 panels so about 2.8kW so on my arrays just another 2off Trini or Longi monos for about £230 is cheaper than making a tracker.

All 3 3.7m wind turbines all still functioning, but some FAKE so called Marine Ply on the blade assembly hubs has meant 2 off have had rebuilds with new ally hub discs.

OzInverter's still operating around the World, and mine still 24/7. I do have a 8kW ready for installation but to be honest my 6kW design does everything i want, plus AC coupling is so simple with a bi-directional OzInverter.

Doing R&D and building 2v 550ah lead acid PLANTE batteries at present.

Lots of other projects also happening, and i will let you all know what's going on here.

We have 19kW of PV up, aiming for 30kW, and just the Trackers are direct DC to MPPT controllers, all other PV is AC Coupled to our OzInverter created Mini Grid.

A few years ago installed a 12m by 4.5m with roman steps, fiberglass Salt swimming pool, which has Air source Pump heating and runs off our own created Renewable Energy.

Getting masses of enquiries from the general public about or Project here, so now finishing the Sheep Grange Lecture Theatre, so perhaps in a few years time we can do group lectures/courses.

Any ways lots of things to tell you all one day.

Here is a selfie, my first ever selfie, from last summer, yep pool is a nice 33c.
