Hello all,

I've always wanted a PV install and now I've got one! Loving it so far.

16 X 400W jinko all black panels and a 3.6K lux power hybrid inverter with 9.6kwh of pylon tech batteries. I was very surprised at how simple this arrangement is.

So far it's covering almost all my energy use, generated about 28kWh yesterday!

Its no rocket science !

And just wait till May, boom !

EDIT - And you've probably got the best bang for buck system with no DNO issues.

Yeah just wanted to get going as soon as possible - I am now looking for a solar diverter that will know when the battery is full so I can dump any remaining excess into hot water tank rather than grid.

I would of considered a DIY install but the roof is 3 stories up and I am very thankful I did not attempt that.

I get about 200W even when totally overcast - it seems like magic!

Welcome Swwils. PV really is the most amazing invention ever. It just works and it goes on working year after year. I have not noticed any degradation after a decade.

With your size of PV and capped inverter, a diverter makes sense. Probably the Solic 200 is the cheapest which you can configure a min export to work in harmony with your battery system.

I have two immersuns, pricey but you can hook up several units for that little bit of extra diversion.

Hi and good to hear that Optimism in the middle of winter ...

Usually not too much to expect from the PV from end of Nov- Feb

But sure that is a decent PV array and my preach that even in winter there is some harvest

I am now trying to get my outgoing properly setup, the current rates are very attractive on outgoing octopus agile.

You've got us foaming at the mouth, nice install, there were not many all black panels back in the day, but we got the full FITs !

And strangely enough the FIT meter reader came round today for their bi-annual visit. I say bi-annual, but as I have two FIT system's and two generation meters, they come roughly once a year to read each separate one, not both together.

And they always say the same line to me, Oh, I've never seen two generation meters at a domestic house before.
