Octopus have been pretty rubbish at the moment too.

I’m having charging problems, with the app that controls my car and their app, some conflict.

Can’t basically charge the car at any EV charger just the granny charger, which isn’t app controlled,
They don’t read emails, containing the facts, having to use ICE car today due to this…

I have had a few problems too where the allocated charging session has not started or restarted.

If it is critical to have a full charge (80% or sometimes higher in winter) I check to see if it has started at 2330 if that is the slot start time and it has not I bump start (or tell my charger to start now) it from the app. Once when I only needed an hours charge, it scheduled it from 0230 to 0330 but did not start and I had to bump it when I woke up and needed the car a bit later.

I have emailed Octopus about this and am waiting a response.

If the problem is at 'any ev charger' then I'd suggest the problem is with a setting in the car software?

It’s also not letting you bump charge either.

I removed the device from the octopus app and it let me use the free charger near my work.

The octopus app controls a third party app that the e golf uses.

When the VW app was updated about 6 weeks ago it was the start of the problem

If you have "disconnected the device", careful you don't get bumped off the tariff in 30 days, you should get a warning email in the last few days to re-onboard. You can choose to disable smart charging in the APP instead and charge normally as I do all summer.

Actually, I probably started the charge from the Wallbox App and not the Octopus App.

I have a VW ID4, so it might be (another) VW issue.

1. Still no electrical usage on their website or app.
2. Nothing on the Homecare front, so auto renewal is cancelled - But I bet they still take the cash ^^
3. No change on the database thing.

Only thing left to do is raise a complaint with Ofgem, as my last complaint got this response. So OFGEM and/or the financial ombudsman now. We'll see what they say.

They've not even bothered doing anything about the complaint. well, aside from close it.
This energy thing appears to be a know issue with no idea of a fix date, so British Gas's policy is just to close the tickets.
BritishGas wrote:The issue with not seeing your electric history on My Energy is a known issue and there is not a fix timescale at the moment. I can open a complaint related to this to record your comments but it would be closed because it's a policy issue.
Well, at least that explains the ticket closure

I wrote an update to the other 3 reviews ive done with BG over the last 2-3 years on trustpilot, abnd got a response quickly, simply directing my to social media to complain....arrgghhh

so, back to square one and goign to have to flag it up to the ombudsman to sort it out.

I’ve emailed Octopus again to let them try and resolve the issue,
Just to keep the paperwork correct so they don’t kick me off! Thanks for the reminder on that
