Sum of us campaign (today only) donation multiplier

Post by Mr Gus »

£4 donated by you is quadrupled by someone elsewhere for the Rainforest trust

"The Leuser ecosystem of Indonesia has been called one of the most irreplaceable ecosystems on the planet. But poaching, infrastructure projects like hydroelectric dams, and mass deforestation fueled by palm oil plantations are threatening to destroy it.

That’s why Rainforest Trust wants to help their local partner purchase and protect a huge chunk of this forest...and give these critically endangered species a fighting chance to survive. Just months ago we were able to do this in Colombia, and protect a rare monkey species...let’s do it again!

If 5000 of us chip in the cost of a cup of coffee in the next 24 hours, Rainforest Trust has a donor offering a 4x match on your donation! This could get the land secured quickly and let them start their work protecting the forest. Can you help save this irreplaceable piece of our planet?"

(In essence they are after 5000 donations from supporters to make £20,000 which then becomes £100,000)

If you fancy chipping in (it is pay it forward week as its becoming known) then its a big hit for a small sum.

NB please look out, there was both a "debit" & a ONE OFF £4 donation button (pay attention)

Updated the link, because "despite logging out" it seemed to have held an i.d. link with me elsewhere, so I replaced the link with a clean one..
(I'm guessing the wife's lax security & use of "remember password" is at play there, in contrast to my inputting manually).

Thanks for the heads up by the red flag privacy pm AE

That's the thing, I don't link openly, I use outside links, for this, I also logged out before grabbing a link, which it appears I was still logged into (somehow) although it didn't show my name when I scrolled, later it did when I opened anther window latterly (after AE messaged me) ..will follow this up with sum of us.

My donation Yesterday (sat) had my name on it & was from the main house PC.
When AE messaged me & I looked again via tablet, it had my name on the header of the page! ...peculiar as I always log in with keyed in password to places, thus the "mrs suspicion" ...but how would it transfer across access to my tablet!? (which I am very wary of)
