Prompted by the butterfly comments on spring developments in the PV thread I thought I would continue them here...
so we have @Fintray with a Peacock, I've had a comma (which was back again this afternoon and quite territorial) and this morning there was a big glowing Brimstone in the garden and a big queen bumble bee just now.
Any more nice visitors?

I saw a brimstone this morning. Feels like June here today.

They are lovely things, always bigger than I remember and they really glow in the sun! Air a bit too cool for June here, Met office says 16 degrees but it certainly doesn't feel like it!

Yesterday saw a large bumblebee feeding on the snowdrops and the (2) daffodils that are open, today whilst power washing the drive thought it was a leaf but turned out to be a peacock butterfly (same one from other day?), then whilst moving some sacks came across a couple of toads which I placed in the pond for their own safety.

So far only noticed a large bumblebee on the rosemary, no butterflies yet - could be due to being up in Northumberland?

Maybe... We had a Peacock too this morning, but it's noticeable that these are just singletons, I hope a lot more come soon.

Enjoying the sun - glass of something chilled and some ‘tapas’ and we were joined by a Bleepy wasp.

We saw an eagle yesterday on the way to Portsoy. Absolutely gorgeous. In other news though....It has been a nice run.
