A techie friend of mine (when I had problems a while ago) did check that I was shutting it down fully after each session. I think it clears all sorts of accumulating cookie crap out. I use bookmarks a lot and have several dozen in about 10 categories.
(Using Firefox on a Windows 10 Dell laptop.)

Yep thats another one of my failings, leaving it on in sleep mode
not the best and I should close down both for security but also to save the electrons!
