You're taking this renewables nonsense far too seriously!
3.87kWp PV
10.24kWp PV SolarEdge system
Tesla Powerwall 2
100 x 47mm Navitron tubes (still being installed!) Now likely to be removed for more PV.
MK2 PV router DHW diverter

Its a nice thread, shows you don't need loads of money or space to start with renewables and that with a little lateral thinking theirs lots of battery storage out there for people to utilise - they don't have to be pylontechs etc!

Dare you to look into losses & efficiency percentage charging one to the other joe
..he said grumpily, having that tasty little batty-pack flaunted at him again!

How about driving to turkey & back next time joe !? (for the environment obviously)

I am one pack currently at about 60% soc the noo away from all full. With two solar sources and the benign environment we are way excessive in our daily generating for the meager use we require. I would quite like to run the main Turktelecom network hub off of these packs through some sort of lash up. Again, just for the craick. Might have a look at its power sticker and bring a multimeter next time. 🤔

Gus,
Went back to look for a usb standing fan with SWMBO and Furkan's electronic boutique from where I sourced the batteries is gone. Turned into a bloody phone cover etc shop. I was sad and gobsmacked. Just goes to show as SWMBO says. "Don't put off to tomorrow what you can do today". She forces me to live that motto on.pain of pain.

Inspired by the thread, looked at what we had - the electric mower/strummer combo utilises a 6Ah battery - just happens to have a USB outlet.

Considering it more as a contingency for usb lights etc.

That's bad news Joe, I share the pain when a good little independent disappears.
Has furkan offed too? (or has he just morphed to phone repairs & covers)?

I did have a look for the brand from one of your photo's joe ..nothing, but lots of fake generic dubious mAh stated for a similar bulk, ..dubious because of claims of being too light ..sadly none with a USB meter to give a proper insight.

I sent Furkan a message, not heard back so could be bedeided. I still feel regret that I didn't get one back to you. Maybe if I bring the Bongo over this way again I'll load up?

Funny that there are all these wee 240V ac to ..... small dc voltage lowish current applications. Makes ye think. Miss out the middle man?

Mate, you'd be mad to lumber yourself with a drive of that distance again, whilst fun it's not exactly relaxing unless genuinely touring (ie not against the clock) & fuel not cheap currently for very obvious reasons.

Bongo camping battery power project in the offing though?

We are sitting having a G&T on the back deck. Floyd playing discussing a Bongo run to France (with axe) in June. Zout alors, formidable!
