Nice one joe, I forgot it was a "step up" ..(duh) point being it could potentially shore up connectivity & reduce outages which lets face it the govt "worry about" as part of malicious disruption to modern services, this could give us all a bit more assurity at least to fire off messages as to planning & meeting up (for instance) in SHTF or longer term power outs, another reason we should look at server hubs & telecoms as having green power potential at a localised level.

Clearly you'd have to tell kids it's not for continuity in an online game but instead as part of an emergency power out comms protocol.

The beauty of the small PV is that you are in control instant by instant and response time is fast. Derril Water won't be much use to me out here even on a virtual basis if the grid has went tits up. A nice way to pay for my hot water and cooking though.

Speaking of which, off to hunt down a decent wee air fryer tomorrow. Doing a lot more cooking out here and really enjoying it. Giving SWMBO as much recharge time as possible. Time to up the efficiency per kWh too.

No point having the knowing and not implementing it!

I tell ye what though, that power outage today, hotspot up and running, usb fans too. Big block of ice in freezer.

That felt pretty excellent, seamless, simple 👌.

Partly effectiveness is the appeal but also just being in control in an event, not being controlled by it. 8-) :D

Pool is now open, solar heated, no electric.

Went in yesterday expecting the full ice cube experience as it was just finished filling (5 days). Pleasantly cooling so had the afternoon at the pool with much diving in and swimming about. Off over to Marmaris this morning for a long walk, lunch at our fave wee village (85% veg) restaurant and a swatch at airfryers as an upgrade. Couldn't get one in the village yesterday.

I don't understand it when more "mature" *cough* folk worry about something like this enough to think failure to the knee scraping degree.

My wife is the same, ..she can be a right jesse too

My ex london neighbour the same re push bikes, (she never learnt) but 1.5 tonne engine powered metal ..fine with it)

Me I don't care how stupid others may deem an older bloke on this sort of kit, snowboard / surfboard / skateboard ...all the boards ( )
