I spent a week in Spain learning to fly a paramotor years ago. A few of us used to meet up locally and fly around the local area, but my left knee gave out, and I just couldn't run to launch any more, so sold it and gave up. Great fun, though.

I’m amazed at the tech advances we have enjoyed with remote monitoring and remote controlling we now have.

Can see I am still generating excess power.

Can see that I fecked up and left my storage heater boost on for a few days.🙀

And when someone came to my door to rob me batteries it turned out to be the Liberal Democrat’s.🤣

Today I was walking around some rocks on the beach and I found a self filling and emptying rock pool which was connected to the sea via a hole in the bottom of it. The gentle waves were causing it to fill and empty every few seconds. I reckon something like that could easily be scaled up and taken advantage of.

Anyways I am drifting out of the internet zone any moment for a few days so I’ll see you all in 2023.

Happy new year all.

Bit like the "blowhole" generator, perhaps? https://newatlas.com/energy/blowhole-wa ... -generator

All the best for the New Year. I just HTF we don't have as much drama as we've had over the past two or three years both health-wise and politically. maybe we should start a sweepstake as to how many prime ministers we have in 2023? Hopefully not more than three . . .

That's amazing Nowty and the height gain of 14000 feet, it's a wonder you weren't you beginning to get light headed.
Not to mention 7 hours in the air and 136 k, guess you needed a back up crew for those occasions as well!
Great photo, thanks for sharing.

I’m not so sure!

Rishi is deeply unpopular amongst voters but for some reason media are giving him an easy ride. On the other hand Boris was (and still is!) very popular with voters but got ripped apart by the media for, erm, looking at a cake on his birthday during a business meeting… I cannot see Rishi lasting the year.

Then we have a good chance of a GE in 2023, let’s face it Labour would win that despite Kier, who also I cannot see lasting the year.

I’m temporarily back as we are sheltering in a Portuguese bay whilst all the storm doors are closed.
