My, my that's a big one! As the actress said to the Bishop. Happy birthday and all the best on your day. ;)

Very many thanks!

That's me reached my "three score years and ten" . . .

Many Happy Returns OGB,

I hope the sun shines favourably on you (and your panels!)

No such luck up here in Gwynedd, howling winds and grey clouds with driving rain - been like this for days!

Many thanks all, much appreciated (although I did give my wife strict instructions to keep this birthday very low key!).

Be nice if it were sunny here, but we have the tail end of the high winds and rain from yesterday still coming through, so generation so far today has only been about 1.5kWh. On the bright side, there is enough to cover the house base load and put a tiny bit into the battery, though.

It's your birthday, take a day off from thinking about your batteries :)

Hope it's been a good one.

Had a nice quiet day, doing all the things I enjoy, thanks!

I have been working on trying to get a better way to extract data from the battery inverter, though, as I'd like a faster refresh rate and better data fidelity. One interesting discovery is that the "Solarman" data logger stick is actually much the same internally as the Hi Flying Elfin unit I've got coming, it uses the same chipset, the difference being that the Solarman firmware is locked to only talk to the Chinese servers that Solarman run, whereas the Elfin version can be set to run locally, without talking to China.

Generation today was a bit better than expected, too. Ended up charging the batteries to 86%, with 6.85kWh generated. Not a lot, but enough to cover our baseload and keep us going without needing to use any peak rate grid power.
