Do you consider landfill waste to energy "bio-mass & a green solution" ?

There are chancer Manc companies who handle waste wanting to stick up 44 metre chimneys (here on the flat fens edge) with 24/7 365 operations, possibly producing up to 8 megawatt hours energy via burning the un-recyclables, ..so likely involving medical waste & god knows what, by a landfill for one scheme, another at a site bought out a few years ago by the big boys (veolia maybe) which had a big fire that burnt for months, only a handfull of country miles apart from this site deemed "perfect" by developers. (why? ..I dont know)

A developers meeting was on yesterday, zero available reading on environmental / emissions ..why would they!?
& then I was told with plans for another building & buisness extension for carbon capture on the same site.

Suffice to say the area suffers enough tip pollution as is, & assurances of stringent control via the environment agency in our area was a joke before their funding was cut & many within declared themselves now toothless.

Why would you submit plans for 2 of the same "tech" within a few miles of each other? ..what planning changes am i missing.

& can anyone tell me what the rough carbon footprint for a loaded HGV waste vehicle carrying slops to be burnt from a 30 mile radius of a way station would be (so every likelihood of being more than a 30 mile collection / delivery radius ..because the developers "had no answer for that"

effectively the quoted energy "potential" to grid is the output is that of maybe 3 modern onshore wind turbines & no nasties added into the immediate area.

Any good bias free reading on the implications of waste burners plonked by homes & villages I can read up on please?
