Perceived conditions

#1

Post by Joeboy »

After the last couple of days snow and being down to -6 last night...

Today with its 2 degrees and 3kWh PV generation felt like high Summer!
Jumper off, T shirt on! All kidding aside, that 8 degree difference was immediately noticeable in the 🏡 .

I'm hearing minus 10 maybe, hopefully not around here.

Well, we’re a week back from a month at 28-35C in Lanzarote. Christmas/New Year in between, then back for some more endogenous VitD production, swimming/snorkelling in 20C+ ocean, lots of bright light and lovely food.

Not that I’m missing it

That's 4 days with 0.0 generation.

I'm not sure we will get much over the next few days despite the forecast sunshine.

One of the issues with solar for me is this is about as high as the sun gets in December. It's not really worth going to the effort of clearing the panels for an hour or two of weak sunshine.
(My house is on the centre of the picture)

We avoid most of the cold weather on days like today due to being slightly up the slope. This afternoon it was -4 at my house and -9 a little behind where this picture was taken from.
