Last day here, SWMBO insisted on walking across the Brooklyn bridge which is the only bridge from manhattan that it’s permitted.

Found some solar arrays in a Brooklyn college which were supplementing several EV chargers.

Ending the day in Little Italy with the best pizza outside of Italy.

On the way to the airport we met up with SWMBO's niece and nephew in New Jersey, lovely house but no solar although they were thinking about it. For some reason the economics don't stack up as well in the USA. It was only a short visit so I could not go into the economic detail but I got the impression that the installers charge an extortionate price.

Their neighbour has some Solar PV, but says its uneconomic.

When we were in California last August, there were adverts everywhere advertising free power walls and solar.
Didn’t go into the figures bit I assume they work out free based on the returns they’ll make….
Mitsubishi Ecodan
ASHP 8.5kW x 2
12 x 460w Solar panels
9.5kWh GivEnergy
Batteries x 2
EVs x 3 170 kWh Batteries
Ripple 5.8 kW PV
