I was browsing the site prior to calling them to ask about keeping the myco-protein juicier when I came across the above..
Quite inspiring if 100% non manipulated fact, enough to be broadcast as a reason to make "meat free mondays" (or whatever) a more wide scale format in school canteens etc as a "little things done en-masse" effect.
(I was after info for sous vide potential, whilst chatting the CS rep informed me that air fryer time updates were to be added "somewhere" ..to which I responded that they ought add cooking energy use & savings versus cr@ppy regular full size ovens to knuckle down on results of change from all angles)
Overall, quite an in depth site from an established but not necessarily fondly thought of mainstream alt-meat player, & worth a look.

I'm really not a fan of these ultra-processed factory-produced foods. I cannot imagine they're good for your health or the environment no-matter what the manufacturer claims.Mr Gus wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 1:33 pm https://www.quorn.co.uk/company/sustain ... %5D%5B3%5D

Understood, however when so much fast food is shoved down throats each day beyond the recommended "occasional" treat as Mc D's management "carefully" put it while ignoring the grim reality, ...it's progress to scale back consumption & shift perception ( I cannot wait for decent insect proteins myself) ..so every step that envcourages us to lessen "an impact" whilst appreciating expensive, well bred meat (by comparison) i'm all for.

Re: Quorn? 1 meal = 3 years worth of phone charging?
To be fair, most of the congratulations for that should go to the mobile phone engineers rather than the Quorn guys!
Re: Quorn? 1 meal = 3 years worth of phone charging?
Ha-ha, pedant!
& opening up the field to the same stream of thought, i'm curious as to what generation phone that was based on.
Paul definitely has a point, ..damn it

Mr Gus Really surprised your so easily taken in by the Quorn misinformation. As they say just follow the money to get the report written that you require to dupe the public.

Re: Quorn? 1 meal = 3 years worth of phone charging?
Quorn isn't an ultraprocessed food by that definition.
