Still here this morning?

If there is a foul wind a blowin' then drop by for a chat - about coconuts of anything else off topic.

Still here this morning?

Hoping everyone is still here today & hasn't been blown down / away :winter:
It was pretty wild here last night - supposed to be just under 70mph around midnight - It was the worst I've felt it - sounded like the roof was about to come off - had everything crossed for the solar panels to stay in place  .
So far no obvious damage, but I haven't actually checked outside yet

Very calm in SW London this morning, not much obvious damage either, but we didn't get the worst of it by any means. Was certainly quite blustery at around 2am though when I was awake!

Forecast was max 62mph, actual 81mph recorded at local airport and being 200M higher that means it was higher where we are, lost parcel box but nothing else of consequence.

Not too bad here on the south coast, it was windy but nothing out of the ordinary for a winter storm.

Somebody isn't! ;)
Our new panels are where they were put on Friday, so that has been a good early stress test. It was wild in the night but the scaffolding is OK too, I had moved a couple of planks to work off but I made sure I tied them down. Nothing amiss in the garden either, nor any beehive roofs off.

I am glad we had that cold spell (though it can't have been nice for the blokes on the roof) but I'm still pleased that milder air has come back.

Pretty windy down on the North cornish coast last night, woke a few times during the night due to rattly roof tiles.
First realy strong test of the new big 2278x1134 545w panels on two rails fitted practically on the edge of the roof, but pleased to see they are all still there this morning.
Even our little poly greenhouse has stayed put. That has jumped the 6foot garden wall before in high winds and ended up doing backstroke in the nextdoor neighbours duck pond!

The first storm is always the worst for new projects

I'm glad I've now got a Rhino greenhouse - my first one up here only lasted 1 year before it was smashed to pieces when the wind came from the 'wrong' direction' in one storm
