One of our 36mm 40m mooring ropes snapped last night, we were banging around a bit more than normal, but I didn't realise why until I saw the rope draped on the mud in two this afternoon, ordered a new one £264 :(

I've always liked the idea of a wind turbine mounted on our 9m crane (easy to raise and lower) but we're generally quite sheltered on the river here, surrounded by trees and a big 5 storey building.

I can see a bit more wind is due Tuesday night, hopefully the other ropes hold up!
