G20 renewable energy %

Post by richbee »

Interesting to see this 2023 table of energy % for the G20.
https://www.visualcapitalist.com/visual ... ectricity/
It doesn't mention nuclear, wonder if that is in other or just in non-renewable, which would seem a bit odd as it is low carbon
Solar PV since July '22:
5.6kWp east/west facing
3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries
1.6kWp Hoymiles East/West facing PV on the man cave
Ripple DW 2kW
Ripple WB 200W

Look at the numbers for France which is heavily nuclear, they are well down the table, so it does not count as renewable in this analysis.

That "Bioenergy" column really gets my goat - the 12% figure for the UK, that's basically Drax burning all of those American trees

Wonder why they didn't just also include a column for nuclear?

Came across this on Drax website and thought WTF!
They also keep on about carbon removal too just to rub salt into the gaping wound.
