I notice that we are generating 40GW with botha coal and OCGT running and we are exporting to both France and Belgium whilst not importing from Norway and only importing 1/2GW from Netherlands, seems rather unusual, have I missed something happening in Europe?

I remember Macron threatening to cut off the interconnects a few months back. Wonder what his thoughts are now?

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)

Misread your post Countrypaul - I initially read it as 40GW from Botha coal and OCGT - which my thought process (doh!) interpreted as generating with SA coal - even though I couldn’t see this in the app I use.

Is it just the sudden cold snap causing everyone to protect their own supplies of gas and it’s economic for us to ship some power out ??

Or is it gamesmanship to cast shade on our COP26 signalling ?

I'm guessing Nat Grid can buy it here for less than they can sell it to France and Belgium for.
