Defo a first step, could easy be an installer error? Possibly AA's too to if CT sender not fed via mains?

Re: new member with new battery
Yes and I dread the time I will have to figure how to get it to charge during an off peak period but I'll cross that bridge...
In the mean a search reveals a post on a German site which Google translates as:
"Growatt (China) says about this error message (BMS Battery MSG Failure) Grid voltage measure by DSP board and M3 board is different. what does that say According to my observation, different voltages of the two strings are normal, but the higher and lower also change."
Comms wiring seems well plugged in.

Re: new member with new battery
Assuming it's a standard network cable between the battery and inverter would it be worthwhile obtaining pin outs and checking continuity of the cable? Failures can of course be anywhere I've always been a fan of continuity checks and in the lateral ages of electronics a hard reset of all components involved.

Looking atvthe photo I have a feeling their isn't one on the pv. Edit looking again their may be just can't see the ct.

Tinbum the current transformer is visible on the meter tail but the one on the PV is hidden in the trunking with the triangular hazard warning on it below the isolator switch
I don't know what AA stands for in this context.

Double AA batteries, your CT clamp is likely powered from mains but I like to cover the basics.openspaceman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 8:45 am Tinbum the current transformer is visible on the meter tail but the one on the PV is hidden in the trunking with the triangular hazard warning on it below the isolator switch

If your CT clamp is facing the correct way and is on the correct line along with the AA or mains power fed then that covers the basics. A clise up photo of your meterbox showing wiring would be handy?
It certainly looks like you have a blueCT clamp oh the live. They are directional and worth checking?

Have you checked on the display that the PV and grid figures look correct?openspaceman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 8:45 am Tinbum the current transformer is visible on the meter tail but the one on the PV is hidden in the trunking with the triangular hazard warning on it below the isolator switch

Yes the figures all match up. The only problem has been this lock out as the battery becomes fully charged and an export starts. It has happened 8 times since February, before that the battery never git up to 50% SOC. It was okay yesterday even though 5kWh were exported.
I'll wait and see what happens over the next few days.

Re: new member with new battery
Once the battery is fully charged it will export to the grid. That is normal.
You either need another battery or a device to then divert the power to heat your hot water or turn heaters on etc.
I thought you said the battery was not discharging?

Re: new member with new battery
It all works fine until it is fully charged and the excess is exported (which has only happened since February because before then the battery never got fully charged) then on 8 occasions, and not always consecutive days, the battery has indicated a fault condition and so has the inverter and they have locked out. This has never automatically reset but I can manually reset it by power cycling the system and it continues fine till the next time.
