Well , after a long abstinence of cicyling , i ordered my first el. bike , arrived just before the first lookdown in Ireland , and Man , how much did i enjoy having it , while those Irish country roads where nearly emtpty , and to travel those roads to Work , to exercise ,to enjoy , to see /feel the different perspektive to a car-ride ....
Anyway since about 4 years i have no own Van or Truck for my landscaping buisness (Not Sure If thats doable on the Long Run ) Back in Germany now , i share a a 7.5 t Truck with a coleauge , but the Bike now is big part of my Transport .... I suppose many families could get away with one or two cars less , if cycling and public transport is promoted more
When i started in West-Cork Ireland , i used to Joke " My Dream is a James Dean Porsche ,a hitch and a rotten cowbox Trailer " .... Well i loaded my Porsche and the Trailer today with a 80kg Wacker Plate ,still Not overloaded .... Kind of fun /statement too
