Have you got any solar PV ?
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Yup, a 4kW array. Going to add another 3ish and batteries soon, waiting on DNO G99 response.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Funny enough one of my old work colleagues came round this morning to look at my setup as he has a 4kW Solar PV and he'd just had an OTT quote for a second hybrid system with panels and batteries. I put him in touch with another local company with some advice and as he is with Octopus, he now might also be buying into Ripple before midnight.
PS - In that case, as I'm sure you will get the DNO approval, I will add you to my secret list of green generation. 7000 kWh for PV and 3000 kWh for WT2.

I just love that, 'my secret list of green generation', followed immediately by a link to same. Terry Jones could have wrote that!nowty wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 1:26 pmFunny enough one of my old work colleagues came round this morning to look at my setup as he has a 4kW Solar PV and he'd just had an OTT quote for a second hybrid system with panels and batteries. Do we need a sweepstake on the percentage of Kirk Hill sold to individual investors?
I am going for 35% of total capacity giving 65% sold when including the 30% to a company per the offer document.

And my mate who came round this morning to have a renewable chat has just signed up to ripple with my code.
He had a special under the floor visit to the Nowty Towers battery cave and had to take a photo of it cos he said his wife would not believe him.

They simply credited my account with March's Ripple money on 21st April - and I promptly went into my account and knocked my direct debit down by £20. I don't imagine any other provider allows you to tell them what your dd will be that easily.
I know they have to agree it with you, but that usually means you phoning them and having the argument to reduce what they want to take. Not with Octopus.

Octopus seem to be very relaxed about what we pay - but maybe their computer oversight is quite intelligent and would block an irresponsible reduction in payments. Some energy suppliers have been given a three-week deadline to explain accusations they have increased customers' direct debit payments by "more than is necessary".
Jonathan Brearley, boss of the energy regulator Ofgem, recently said there were "troubling signs" of the tactic.
He also expressed concern over customers being directed to inappropriate deals.
I have no complaints about them whatsoever.
