BIG jump in petrol reported today
Apparently the biggest jump in roughly 17 years.

Government "should" react now before we, & europe go into a cost runaway inflation balloon ride.
But that's been said before.

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
Best I have seen on this run is £1.81 with worst being £1.999, diesel per litre. Sitting at 2,000 rpm and 1,800 km into journey. Around £340 for fuel so far...Mr Gus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 1:07 pm Apparently the biggest jump in roughly 17 years.

They did act. They caved in to pressure from opposition politicians and the press and handed out "helicopter money". Which will obviously accelerate inflation further. Taxes are also raising (we are facing the highest tax burden of any time in history), which will accelerate inflation further.
So please don't claim "the government is doing nothing", they are doing loads of things, all those things just happen to be wrong.

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
it must be killing you as to the Mc-fill rates at the pump for the beloved bongo versus what the tesla would be costing you.
I'm guessing you planned this trip with a carbon footprint figure in mind?

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
Nope, not a bit of it. I try my best in all other areas but will not curtail my adventures in Bongo & flight.
Surprised at how much the fuel bill actually is. That is the first time I have worked out cost to date. Digs are only about 20 euro per night and beer/food about 40 Euro.
The whole trip (10 days) is going to be about a grand and a half. Jesus! Worth every penny though, had a great time with my son.

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
I was in Cornwall last week in the dirty-diesel. The best prices available were £1.879 anywhere even slightly close to a major road was £1.999. Bask home and prices are still £1.759-1.789.
Starting to get very inpatient about my iD4 (now 6 months after it was supposed to be delivered).

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
Anyone got experience of costco fuel? (ie is it good / bad / same old)
Thinking about popping to the stevenage costco instead of M/ Keynes with the tesla & pick up some cannisters of premium petrol (not the gut rot) ...cannot believe they marketed it as "kirkland signature"

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
The various petrol stations don't have their own distribution networks. They all pick up from the same depots. It is all the same stuff.Mr Gus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 1:55 pm Anyone got experience of costco fuel? (ie is it good / bad / same old)

Re: BIG jump in petrol reported today
Dealer won't be sucked in to making a prediction on delivery date. They clearly have no information, they get a notification when it has left the factory, until then nada.
I stopped at Exeter services on the way back, there were 3x 50kW chargers and 12 350kW chargers. Lots of other laces to charge on the journey too.
