Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
It was mentioned in the minutes of a WT1 CoOp meeting several months back that they gave permission for somebody to leave early and that a couple more investors had stopped their monthly payments so some shares would become available.

June's rebate for WT1 is already in my account, a new record.
The earliest in the month so far, not the amount.

In other words, the efficiency is there & merits applause for no delay implementation of share owners rebates, ..makes for great advertising, a very good start.

I'll be honest Gus, from the outside and being entirely unaware of the internal machinations of setting up a company and a Turbine while skegging about for site 2 & 3..
They've done well, appreciably got up to speed since March on their comms and response time whether to investors or tech feedback on tech downtime. Pretty damn .

Thanks for the heads up Nowty, I hadn't even thought to look!
While output from WT1 during the subdued first four months of generation are now safely nestled in our Octopus account it transpires that they are larger than the leccy bills for the same period.
With our higher consumption requirements in the darker months I wonder how long it will be before the surplus evaporates?

Well that's the virtual battery (VB) Joeboy and I keep going on about.Adokforme wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 11:44 amThanks for the heads up Nowty, I hadn't even thought to look!

Remember we all get a £400 top up in October, now a grant, not a loan anymore, so even more VB.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Thanks for the reminder... I now can either drop my payments from £120 to £90 - which still gives Octopus an interest-free loan right through until Nov 2023 - or maybe just take out the £400 surplus in the account and get a return on it elsewhere! (My projected payments had allowed for a 50% increase in both gas and electricity in October.)nowty wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 12:35 pmWell that's the virtual battery (VB) Joeboy and I keep going on about.Adokforme wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 11:44 amThanks for the heads up Nowty, I hadn't even thought to look!

Crikes, I didn't know that either. It's like Christmas has come early this year and twice in one day.nowty wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 12:35 pmWell that's the virtual battery (VB) Joeboy and I keep going on about.Adokforme wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 11:44 amThanks for the heads up Nowty, I hadn't even thought to look!

I have to confess we could manage perfectly well without it so feel a little uncomfortable about the prospect of receiving it.
Guess I'll just have to console myself by investing it in another wind farm then.

VB will be officially charging for me from tomorrow, a mighty 0.8% soc!nowty wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 12:35 pmWell that's the virtual battery (VB) Joeboy and I keep going on about.Adokforme wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 11:44 amThanks for the heads up Nowty, I hadn't even thought to look!

I'll be happy to take up a few more kWh's of GF if I'm high enough on the list. Fingers !
