If stuff arrives when promised then I should get to start putting things together in about ten days time. Depends on whether the key bits arrive on time.
I've had a few things from Grant at Bimble and even up here in a remote postal zone it's never taken more than a week. An excellent guy and company.

The Bimble stuff arrived today, but I'm waiting on the rail and bracket parts, they had a ten to twelve day lead time unfortunately.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter

It's good you got rail, in the couple of weeks between my last order and looking again (solar sparky), the were sold out of rail and the tile hangers I had been using too, crazy busy times! Best of fortune to you in the build.

Yep I've been given a date of around 20th September to reach a UK port, then to my door by 1st October. Not sure what ship it's on, I'll probe for more information if I don't start to get UK tracking info by around the 25th. Just have to be patient with the slow boats I guess :)

I've recently realised I'm actually pretty local to Bimble, they're no more than a few miles away up the road. Nice to see they're well respected around here so I'll have to drop by some day when I have an excuse to buy more things :) Been eyeing up a 5kW Solis hybrid inverter to raise my charging/discharging capabilities..

Just as a foot note there was a short blip in traffic on the Suez Canal this week when VLCC lost steerage and ran aground in the approximately the same place as the Ever Given did in 202.

Happily this time it was re-floated and escorted by tugs in relatively short order but long its onward journey was a slower speed and therefore the ships behind it will invariably be a day or more late in their arrival at the destined ports.

That's the hardwood ply boards, sealed, glued and screwed down in place. Nice to have somewhere new to store the Frankenstein switch while I work out a location for it. :geek:

I'll start making up the gluelam plywood end blocks for the packs next week. Shortest DC cable runs will be achieved by moving the 2kW standy inverter up towards the roofline and leave space for Frankie and the bus bar boys on the lower section. Will of course then have to wire that section in. :D

A couple of DC cables soldered today to get them off the Pylontechs and connected to the Frankenstein fused isolation switch. Enjoyed trying out my manual cable crimper, brilliant tool! :D

Next up when more crimps and second busbar arrive will be a carded busbar mounting point as a jump off for the 2kW back up inverter and to the LF280K battery stack.
