First storage heater (bedroom) kicks in tonight to charge across the 5 hour window. Bet ye a tenner she is up through the night saying it's too 🔥?
We're still using the aircon in our bedroom, and with no heating the house has been sitting at a slightly warm 23°C for the past few days, warm enough that I've been thinking of running the aircon during the day as well, with the bedroom door open. Very rare for us to turn the heating on before November, in previous years we've often gone until early December before needing any heating. Good illustration of the North/South climate divide, though.

My thoughts as well, OGB. We’re still at 22-23C internally. I’m still having to use my nocturnal cooling strategy - think it’s still one leg and half torso un-quilted.

Still having the doors open in the bedroom at night occasionally.

Allegedly, night temps could be in single figures over the weekend.

Again, always surprised at the variation in ambient temps across the country.

How much per night to pitch a tent in the garden?
Me n SWMBO spoke about a related subject, 'how low do ye go'? We decided that all the work we put in means 'trained hard, fight easy', I walked through the core of the house late afternoon after freshly collecting 3/4 tonne of logs and the Hive read 17.9 degs at that point in time. RIGHT, everyone out the pool!
I am sitting here in a big jumper, classic fm on, beer at my side and WBS doing its thing. Best of luck to the 16 deg boys, tougher than me! :D

To achieve that 19.9degs now, we need artificial lift, no doubt.

So much so that I've lined a second storage heater up for tonight (the 3 element placed as core on Monday).

Dunno how it works for you guys but after decades offshore in a male environment it has come as a pleasant surprise to enjoy and understand the equation presented as Happy wife/Happy life. :D

I'll video it but probably won't be able to upload it before tomorrow.
