Nice one, homegrown or foraged is an outstanding way to do it. As an aside the airfryer really keeps the baked hoods moist. SWMBO threw together our second banana & coconut loaf and it has been.outstabding both times.AE-NMidlands wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 6:40 pmand we have just had date and walnut loaf (which turned out a bit dry) and stewed damsons - collected off the non-towpath side of a canal from a narrow-boat yesterday - and custard! Lovely!!

Re: Show us your home grown grub
Coming to the end of the season in the polytunnel but there are still some tomatoes.
The squash are ready to pick.
The grapes are nearly there,
And I started cutting oats today, I'm glad my survival doesn't depend on me cutting a lot of oats with a scythe!!

7.5m X 13m.
It's brilliant. 'Cos we are at 300m in the North and we often get lying snow in May, growing outdoors is a struggle for pretty much anything beyond kale and blackcurrants. The tunnel is a whole different and wonderful world!

The first pork roast from this years pigs. After a few years of trying, I really think I've got the feeding down this year. They're Berkshires and run to fat easily so you have to feed them much less than other breeds. Plus, they've been getting all the spare produce from the allotment and all the unused apples from last year that were in one of the freezers. Plus home grown spuds and apple sauce.
Bit short on the veg this year, need to plan better for next year.
