You've really made an efficient use of space there.
I've been on the roof cleaning the gutters now our hosepipe bans been lifted today. I noticed several other neighbour's doing the same in today's sunshine.

I did give it a moments thought, maybe two. I'll see how it goes over the Winter with the new set up. I'm pretty much beyond where I need to be for power storage. Worst case scenario and we have grid drop out.
We have the EV 73kWh battery and onboard inverter. Half the PV stays up and charging and we default to the battery driven 2kW inverter and the 27.88kWh home storage. It would be messy with extension leads n all that but assuming the grid failed at a decent SOC we'll be good to go for a while and grab what we can through the day.

I'm up for it. Will be next year's project though. I recon I can swap my 12kWh pylontechs for 28kWh homebrew and remain cost-neutral. From the above list I could remove the buckboard (unused) and half a bag each of two sizes of lugs. Being an up in the air install changed it also. I could easily see someone achieving sub £140 per kWh depending on their current tools and skills.
Multiply that figure by the specific Pylontech unit required and its beyond a no brainer by a crazy margin.

Shipping goods from China is very heavily subsidised by the Chinese government, to encourage and promote international trade. This is permitted because China still has some sort of exemption that allows this, due to some sort of "developing nation" clause in international agreements. In reality the true shipping cost is probably much greater than the nominal £200 that's been charged. Not sure how much longer subsidised shipping and postage from China is going to last, so it probably makes sense to order sooner, rather than later, as I'm sure this dispensation will be removed before long.
