Its frustrating I can't get on Octopus as we have no smart meter signal here.

But you can... (or should be able to.) The only thing a smart meter is essential for is a time-of-use tariff. Economy 7 is still around and can work off dumb meters. Octopus are pretty socially responsible and no power company is supposed to refuse to take on new customers anyway. I was lucky being with Coop which got handed over to Octopus.

You can buy into Ripple whoever you are with now, but will have to move to one of their partner distributors - but only when the time to receive savings comes... which might well give you extra leverage to get Octopus to take you on (If you really can't get them to do it now.)

I've spent a fair bit of time on the phone with Octopus about E7. They did confirm that they still had an E7 tariff, but despite both my and the call centre person's best efforts they have been unable to let me know what their E7 tariff is for this region. My experience of trying to get information from suppliers has been that none have been particularly helpful, but Octopus did sort of try a bit, which is far more than can be said for all the others I've been in contact with.

I'm pretty sure that E10 is now extremely restricted in terms of availability. I know it's not available here, from any supplier, and hasn't been for several years. I've heard that some suppliers were still offering E10 tariffs in Scotland, but I'm pretty sure that E10 is effectively unobtainable for new customers in England and Wales.

Similar story here, bloody awful day, generated just 1.87kWh today and have been running on the batteries all day. Managed to not use any grid power, although the batteries are now down at 51%, having been charged to around 90% by yesterday's sunshine.

3.7kWh total incoming here. I quite like the challenge of Winter mode. It feels more visceral and tribal.

Just checked, peak PV generation today was a whole 630W for maybe 5 minutes, from a 6kWp system. Doesn't look to be much better here tomorrow, either. Our batteries are still at 39%, so we'll make it through the rest of the day without importing, but I've upped the overnight charge to 80%, just to be sure we have enough to get through tomorrow OK.

3.8kWh here! Battery capacity ran out, ie 10%, at 6pm due to prolonged use of tumble dryer by daughter whilst we were out

That was despite charging to 100% last night on Go Faster.
