If and when we get a new smart meter it won't talk far enough to reach the house for the IHD so I will not know instantly what is going on grid wise.

I spent a few days playing and it seems quite straightforward and I shall definitely be taking it further when I have proper jobs for it to do.

I bought something like https://uk.banggood.com/Geekcreit-UNOR3 ... Country=GB and a supplementary pack of 40 varied sensors https://uk.banggood.com/45-IN-1-or-37-I ... &ID=514178

My friend said that magic smoke is to be expected, so I bought a pack of 5 extra https://www.banggood.com/Geekcreit-ATme ... use=CZ&ID= as each one is only about the price of a pint of beer!

I expect they are experiencing the same electronics supply chain problems as most others are, when I've bought from them in the past it's been delivery next day most times.
