It's the range that appeals to me not so much the oomph. If they did a single motor LR I would likely veer that way.

Tesla did make for a short period of time a Long Range Single Motor variant at the beginning of the TM3's life. It was the most efficient variant at the time as you can probably imagine. But it's not available anymore, not even "off menu" like the base-model "Standard Range" variant although I'm not even sure that's available anymore either.
