Nice thought, but the button is inside the door, at the top, so can only be accessed with the door open:

The way it works is that you turn it on (with the on button at the left), select the programme with the button on the right, then the thing automatically starts as soon as you close the door. If it's turned on and programmed, and left with the door slightly open, it will just sit there forever waiting for the door to be clicked shut. I think making something up that could give the door enough of a shove to latch it closed might be a bit challenging.

I logged out of my Octopus account and into my father's Octopus account as I had signed him up and they definitely use leccy as they have no solar or battery system.

Same message for him too, so who knows. :?:

There are about 280,000 peed off customers at the moment, FB going nuts.

Turns out Octopus have already apologised, but then they will have to apologise again when we get a lot less than the average saving.

Opted in to my first 17:00 to 1800 saving session today, don't know how it's going to work because I've only had one day this month on grid because my batteries didn't charge at night on the go tariff, does this include gas as well as electricity?

(was posting this message this morning but work got in the way)
16 250w Trina panels
Voltronic Axpert Max 8Kw hybrid inverter
3 x Chinese 125Ah (19Kwh total) batteries
To be done, more panels and a wind turbine
Off Grid 20 out of 24hrs

Just saw it on their FAQ part, still don't think I will get anything because my house doesn't use the grid until 00:30 to charge the batteries so will get 0 of 0

They may do one in the night time like last year and there are some random prizes for taking part.

The results seem to be in!

I earned 112 Octo Points, or £0.14. Apparently I cut down by 100%. Dare say thats rounding errors as all my numbers are very close to zero.

Other people nearby apparently cut down apparently 27%, be interesting to compare that number if others share theirs?
