Re-read the thread, one question - what type of condensate pump did you fit? Was there room for it inside the internal unit? As I see your pipe work went into the loft first.

Just saving info for my own install!
Cheers

I went for the “Aspen Mini Aqua” and mounted it in the attic above. I chose that model/location because I was concerned about noise from the pump. This model can be fitted inside the indoor unit if you want and doesn’t make much noise. I considered some less conventional solutions such as draining into a “catch can” hidden in the wardrobe on the other side of the wall. But I’m glad I spent the money on the pump because on AC it doesn’t half create a lot of water!

I don't know why they don't make 'heat only' A/A models (just sell modified remote and smart controls for heaven's sake). Then there'd be no excuse for them to not to attract subsidies in the same way A/W do (and I like these far more than A/W).
I agree , this is a missed oppurtunity especially for house where A2W does not work eg small bore pipes.

The A2A has been sitting almost completely unused since June due to the terrible summer we've had this year. I did use it in "heating mode" for a few hours a few weeks back. However today it has been running low-and-slow all day in cooling mode.

I had a little project recently where I installed vents, insulated ducting, and an inline fan, to transfer heat from the upstairs landing to the one bedroom it doesn't manage to heat. However the camera on my phone is broken so you'll have to wait to see that project...

Both aircon units currently on at Nowty Towers, bliss and like Stinsy, I've hardly used mine for cooling all summer.

And looking at the weather forums, it could be a longer hot spell. 8-)
