Oh dear, what have I done
Re: Oh dear, what have I done
Oliver..
I wouldn't / couldn't consider putting my electric bike in the model 3 Oliver, the extra time & weight make it a lot of faff, no / one technically easy (if set up) removable front wheel if set up & the user is familiar wth break down / set up / re-fitting connections (brakes et al)
On the odd occasion i've needed to move my ebike in a car even a skoda yeti estate was a 2 person job & hard pressed to make fit.
Nowty..
Welcome to my world.
Country living without a vehicle is costly on so many fronts eh!?

Re: Oh dear, what have I done
I was chatting to a fella at the charge point a couple of months back and he has retro fitted an electric drive pack to a Brompton folding bike. He said it was excellentMr Gus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 10:03 am Oliver..

Yeah, the brompton is & always has been a completely different animal as a station / short commuter, not what the majority are, the only other expensive folder is / was the Go-cycle ...from £3.5k "cough"

Re: Oh dear, what have I done
I picked up the electric bike nearly 10 years ago in my Ford Focus, just about managed to get it in but I recall it was a hell of a faff. No way will it go into a TM3 with the limited opening space.

Re: Oh dear, what have I done
The fact that its a saloon, was why we continued to look at EVERYTHING electric at the time, however saloons when you want to load a bike / anything big makes it useless.
I was amazed that the Tesla 3, with all that glass it wasn't a hatch, ..gutted, my biggest dislike of it, reducing its usefulness massively.

Re: Oh dear, what have I done
So tomorrow is my Tesla pickup day but now I have a bit of a dilemma of how to get there. I had previously sorted out my, just over a 2 mile walk to a bus stop with a bus every 8 mins, then there is a 1 mile walk at the other end.
This morning I awoke with my right ankle in a lot of pain, I have never had this before, I just presume I slept with it slightly twisted. I was literally hopping around the house this morning, then it got a little better. This afternoon I went to the supermarket and occasionally I was still getting the odd bad stabbing pain. So, there is no way I can do a brisk 2 mile walk this minute.
I have my alarm set for 7am tomorrow, so I can make a good breakfast and decide whether my ankle is good enough to do the walk, or else its taxi time.

Yep, its bathed in it, plus I'm having a high dose of naproxen with my dinner.

Its the right foot as well so the last thing I want is not to be able to press the accelerator.
