Nice selection of statistics! April 2020 was when they couldn't give oil away, the price of crude actually went negative at that time. Petrol was around £1 per litre.
I filled up all my tanks then with heating oil, Red and Derv. Sadly now down to my last 1200L of Derv but that should still keep us going for the next year. Now waiting for the next big slump.
It would be interesting to know exactly how much a person on gas will actually save due to the price cap and compare that with that being offered if they were in the same house heated by oil.
