Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Although this is not the first time I have shown this graph, to wet the appetites of WT2 members this is the monthly forecasted baseline capacity factors of both WT1 and WT2. Only the average over the year is in the share offer but I managed to get the more detailed info from Ripple.
WT2 (Kirk Hill) is a much windier place.
The price per watt was more for WT2 but the price per kWh's produced was less than WT1 because of the higher capacity factors. But WT2 being in Scotland may have some higher leccy transmission costs.

And the new curveball is the Electricity Generator Levy which may also have a small effect on WT2.

It is going to be an interesting year, focused on Nov coming in on time. The politics (of dancing) not so much.nowty wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 12:42 pm Although this is not the first time I have shown this graph, to wet the appetites of WT2 members this is the monthly forecasted baseline capacity factors of both WT1 and WT2. How about as a renewables collective we give 5h1t constructively to various govt twonks & elected representative orifices?

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Having a cuppa earlier and thinking on what a good run the turbine has been on... So I took production figure up to midnight last night divided by 7 then multiplied by 31. Holy jamoley! That's all I'm saying.

Shhhh! You will spoil it, saying that!
(It does look as though we're not in for a calm spell for a week or so yet though.)

30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,

Like you guys I daren't even think about what the final figure might be, but as of midnight last night it had achieved a CF of 63.8%!Joeboy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:53 pmI tried to keep it vague!AE-NMidlands wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:32 pmShhhh! You will spoil it, saying that!

If it keeps this up for the remainder then it'll certainly help to boost the annual CF figure come March. Up to end Dec, but 24.09%.
Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
I’m coming late to this but it does look interesting. Have registered for WT3.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
26% is pretty bad, does it not achieve better than that?
