I can't find it, despite always asking for it whenever I am at a small butcher's.
I did get some, from an ex-colleague who now has a smallholding in W Wales... whose wife insisted on charging us premium steak prices because it was "grass fed." Unfortunately I had said I didn't mind fatty meat too, so you can guess what SWMBO's reaction was when she saw what I had brought home!

At that point of being deemed the opportunity to mug a well meaning punter i'd have "strained voice" mentioned it being strange for herbivores to do otherwise.

Magic clovers & dew on the smallholding or what!?

Not seen either but fancy the sweetbreads dish. Loads of types of breads from unleavened upwards but closet to keeps would be a type of flattish sausage roll.

I did notice that, I hope he's OK and got his waterleak sorted.
Yes, he's not been on since 31st December.

I'm just waiting on Octopus to update our Gas tracker for yesterday. We ran up the HWT on gas for 2 hours so we'll see how much gas it used and can then work out if it's better going with gas for the HWT or the more efficient yet now considerably pricier electricity. A large part of me is rooting for the gas boiler to fail here so I can keep going with my no gas use Philo ASAP.

If you are away from your house for a bit and have remotes back there its well worth running these wee tests when the background demand is static.

I agree with using the elec more than the gas,
But if you are keeping the gas and boiler I would run it at least once a month to keep bits and pieces running smooth

Like you I would run it for a preset time to know the useage .

I run mine about once a quarter for about 15 mins to help the motor stop seizing and to get some throughput from the condensation trap / pump. Its disturbing though, just how many kWh are used in those 15 mins. :?

The house has been pretty constant in its gas burn each day. The difference between the burn rates is 21kWh for a few minutes over 2 hours. I'll call it 10kWh gas burnt per 1 hour for HWT heating. I'll play about with the electric side tomorrow.
