I am in the soft south "desert" where temps usually only dip below zero over night when the batteries are usually charging so not an issue for me. This is by design the 4 AWG chosen by pylon has a 105C (not the more usual 60C) rating and thus suitable for 125A from a US3000C and the like (a pretty typical setup would be 2 units with 74A to make a source).
