Ach well, let's see Feb kick ass! ;)
Unfortunately the 15th was theoretically impossible, hence why I hinted to Gus the second Sunday on the 22nd, but even that looks unlikely now with the drop off.

Jan is still looking above baseline for WT1 though, maybe even 10% above.

You can have wind or you can have sun but rarely both together, except some days March to May when we folk with both Home Solar and Ripple Windfarm will have a PB.

Spring in 2024 when WT2 should be operational is going to be mental. 8-)

I wasn't going to switch guesses, just not fair, even in fun.

The wind here was strong until 2pm the day of my guess ...& then disappeared like a popped balloon 😑

Ah well, the game is over until the 25th Jan looks like. I had not looked at Turnberry forecast for at least a week. Just looked now and draw solace from 5mph at WT1 and 20.5mph at Turnberry.

but there are 10 days to go this month, so it still ought to be the best yet - and could be pretty difficult to beat!

Looking at the forecast it should finish well. A 28 day Month will have to be quite something to even come close. Fingers crossed though!

I note that they speak of turbine erecting in August for the first units which is promising- I wonder if they commission them one by one or all together ?

I imagine that would be dependant on the grid connection date.

For WT1 that was over 3 months after the turbine was built.
Reasons cited for the delay was Cable availability, Covid and Wayleave sign off.

Unfortunately it was the 3 most productive months of the year so getting WT2 online by Nov 23 is really important. On the other hand with the new 45% windfall tax, a few months delay may eliminate it in the first year, so maybe a small delay wont be a big deal.

Up towards midnight tonight or very early hours tomorrow should be crossover into PB point. :)

Next few days look good too.

I'd hope for commission as they go at Kirkhill but think the DNO will have the final say and it will be a one shot for the lot. Excruciating wait! :o

Congratulations on having the closest guess Mr Smug. :D
Not sure which will have been the most excruciating wait - the eventual arrival of that PB or final commisioning date. :)
But have to agree with you, Kirk Hill's generation is desperately needed. For while in the first two weeks of Jan our total generation approached two thirds of consumption it's subsequently fallen off a cliff so the ol' VB has taken quite a dent as a consequence. Thank goodness daylight hours are beginning to stretch out now.
