Octopus IO
Re: Octopus IO
Ducabi does the gas dashboard indicate the next days wholesale prices and how much prior notice do you get of the next day price before it starts?

Re: Octopus IO
Thanks for that Joe. I applied this morning and having ticked all the boxes thought I might be in as well. Unfortunately just got a reply saying they are not ready for our Leaf yet but will add a vote to the list for the model!
So come on all Nissan Leaf owners do please apply and incentivise them to get us on board asap.
Until then happy to settle upon Go Green tariff with the four hours at 12p as with summer approaching and surplus pv the heavy overnight draw of late will diminish. But that 2p/kWh difference for next winter would stick in the throat a bit.
Re: Octopus IO
It now shows 6.97p/kWh in the dashboard. It's slightly different to what's here: http://mysmartenergy.uk/Tracker/South-West-England
Based on octopus faq it should change on midnight.
Re: Octopus IO
Do you mean that 16.7% reduction over Go? It certainly hacked me off no end!Adokforme wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 12:04 pmThanks for that Joe. I must say it was quite cool to see it kick in as observed by the kW gauge on the easeeone app fluctuating instead of ramping straight up to my required limit. Ah well AD, I hope you get yours hooked up soon. Fingers .
I've got to hook EV up at 5pm and we'll go from there according to the Polypus. Happy days, new adventures!

Re: Octopus IO
Does anyone else on here do octopus tracker for electric ?
I followed the Octopus FAQ's and found the day ahead trading pages they use to monitor and set the price as well as the very straight forward formulae to set regional prices and it looks easy enough to scan the next days price to see if you need to charge the batteries although for non smart meter peeps like me the daily price is averaged over the month anyway so theres no great benefit to using the batteries as there would be if you had a smart meter.

Re: Octopus IO
I tried to join IO.
Despite it being on their list of supported chargers and was installed by Octopus in December 2021, they stated that my Wallbox charger is not supported yet.

Re: Octopus IO
If its a Wallbox pulsar plus and you have had the software updates it should now be compatible with octopus via the OCPP protocol.

Re: Octopus IO
I have a VW ID4.
Octopus are not clear if both the car and the charger are on the approved lists or just one of them has to be. I understand that VW IDs are not (yet), but am a bit miffed that Octopus sold me a charger that is not approved by them.
