7kWh PV in here today, mostly due to tree shading but thats ok. Nice to see these upward ticks, great to be on a rising trend again.
OSM, I feel for you, having limited battery storage is a pita and frustrating. Could do a lot worse than look into the LF280's as an expansion path?

Day 3 for no gch for Lower floor and HWT gas has been off for about 10 days I think.

I don't want to get too cocky, having just got the second string and charger working, but yes I do like the idea of assembling a 16 cell LF280 battery with cell protection but it will have to be at the other side of the house where I have a bit of utility space.

The only reason the current battery and inverter are not there is that the supplier insisted they were close to the consumer unit and the current transformer cables could not be lengthened (or cut).

As I now have permission from DNO for 5.6kW generation capacity I just need to know what my options are, without upsetting my FIT

Solarmax 4200S inverter
Non FIT

Sticking to the DC side you won't touch or affect the fit. Reading the above your worst thing is voltage drop over distance, that might cost a few quid extra in cable diameter. You'll want to know the make up of the current battery packs (what cells/how many, their operating voltages). It was only when I went up from 14kWh battery storage to 28kWh that the mental of 'oh no, how much gave we got left' loosened.

A nice 11kWh today for us, and we don't start getting decent sun from the shading until well after 11am.

I assume it's deliberate that embedded images now the same tiny unviewable size whatever setting chosen?

*Edit, hmm I tried the magic 800x600 and preview still showed the image as a thumbnail.

I set mine to 800x600 (15 inch-monitor) and get this with your image.

Or max with 1600x1200 (21 inch-monitor)

Although the weather here has been generally brilliant, we did have an interesting Saturday.
