Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
I ended up doing a bit of tweaking to my auto saving session setup yesterday as it was the first time I got to test it live.
It's got quite complex now.
It checks every half hour to see if their is the possibility of a saving session as issued at about 10am. It then checks for the confirmation in the afternoon that their will be a saving session, then a bit later to see which companies have had bids accepted and informs me via Alexa of if I need to opt in.
When the time comes, after I've confirmed to opting in, it then turns things on and off when required.

Tinbum, how much harder is it to do an auto "opt in", surely thats the only thing left.

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Not sure on that one, don't know if that's possible, still learning. Edit- I'll have to see where the button links to next time.
It took me ages yesterday to find a way of getting the dates out of the CSV files for checking who was opted in. I could get the company names fine but it only ever seemed to use the last date in the file!! SWMBO was getting fed up of all the Alexa announcements as I was adjusting things!!
