Good for camping and you can leave the egg out.

EDIT - Or are you talking about PV direct to load.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's

The thought of making a brew with a boiled egg :o

Individually, both are fine.

On the sunniest days I think you'd get about 5-7 degrees of temp rise in a 1400liter hot tub. But then doesn't it have an electric heater already using all your glorious pv generated leccy?

I got something similar to this from eBay and wired it up to a big pump. It was heating one of those cheap 3m Costco pools. It took the edge off. It also had 100m of black piping that maybe got .5->1 degree rise on 4000l in a really good day.

Just make sure you don't have an airlock as I bust the first thermostat . Doh!

Seems such a waste, I would have had some of the Navitoobs as spares if you were closer!

Stick em on freecycle, someone will make use of them and collect from you, no hassle.

Nice bit of hot water for ukraine / turkish needs right now, delicate tubes I know, but in hot sun thats a lot of potential hygiene assistance, for vans taking aid over.

If I was closer I'd snap your hand off either for myself or a local scouting group hut,

Hmm? Whassat you say, dead? Almost......

Don't know if this will work or is even allowed. Here is a link to the folder containing mighty 'Donut o Delight' thread from the Navitron forum. We did indeed succesfully heat a hot tub with a 30 tube thermal toob panel and heat store. Worked for years before the hot tub got manky and was scrapped. All Navvy gear donated to Gravy Miner for future tinkering projects....

You might have to download the whole folder (about 30mb) then click on the first page which is -

"Frot n Spec's Navvydrome sponsored 'Donut o Delite' solar heating array.html"

It should open your browser....... If not, *shrugs*

Good luck, and goodnight!

Frotter. xx :ugeek:
