What a frantic flapping at virtual buttons I has as I threw that last post pissed dart and realised the 16.30 reaper had once more rolled around.

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
I tend to adjust my settings the day before for the coming day to drain the battery stack then dump the remaining soc into the EV or HWT in the run up to session. Not meticulous in this but good enough So far, so good.

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
First remote session sans EV a success. Managed to run up home to around 18.5kW from the sundeck then out for a pint to celebrate No1's new lens. That was quite easy!

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
I had drained my batteries enough to charge them for the 3 hr session.
Had everything else prepped, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, immersion and I even used the cleaning function on both ovens
Plus all heating on.

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Just got my latest bill which includes a few of the last saving sessions, so thought it'd be interesting to see if any of this is paying off
23/01/23: 32.4 kWh (£12.58) :: vs :: SS 10.7 kWh = 28952 points = £36.19
24/01/23: 26.77 kWh (£10.39) :: vs :: SS 10.2 kWh = 32688 points = £40.86 (this was the higher points one right?)
.. skipping 30th as I didn't really take part due to the time of it ..
13/02/23: 29.68 kWh (£11.52) :: vs :: SS 9.8 kWh = 17616 points = £22.02
There's VAT to add to all the bill costs so that makes total expenditure £36.21 to receive £99.07 back in bill credit. Seems this thing has legs
They'll be small numbers compared to some of you I'm sure
