5.5kWh here today enough to put some charge back in the batteries so we are back at 74%, howling easterly wind - very cold never got above 2 deg C all day light snow flurries but nothing settled.

Tomorrow is apparently our turn for the snow, so the fire = wood is in and stacked and we can sit and watch the snow fall at its leisure

Hopefully some sledging for the kids and a first for baby Freddie

The daily commute for me generally comprises walking downstairs to my desk, of course there's the odd 700 mile round trip to visit "sites" every now and again but for the most part I am quite low carbon in my work profile and will be more so when the new EV6 is ready to pick up (reportedly this Friday)

only once I have gotten used to public charging machines - that element still holds a certain amount of foreboding for me as it seems to be quite a hit and miss element and out here in North Wales theres not so many places for a practise on bigger charging units so its going to be a learning curve.

Other than that I am looking forward to driving it very much!

Worth checking if there is a 1 yr 1/2 price ionity contract on offer with the new car. There was with the Ioniq 5.

I will enquire but there's only one system in South Wales so as a local network it doesn't look much use or am i not understanding this right ?

My commute if and when I do it would effectively be Bangor North Wales to Brighton or Hythe or Southampton and back again, but as I say first things first I will need to get used to using it and charging and then I presume the rest will fall gradually in to place.

The village shop (charity and local volunteers) has 4 wall pods and is a short walk away and they charge 6 quid for an hour with the donations going to the village activities pot. So that will probably be my first experience of plugging in other than at home which will be the granny socket.

Its not that hard tho .......is it ? I read so many horror stories about chargers being out of service etc

We've been EV'ing for about 4 years now and never hit a big problem. Increased range makes all the difference. Best thing I can say is ABC, Always Be Charging.

Sunny up here so I'm chucking an hour and a half into the car then off to a funeral. No grid charge last night.
I have chargeplace scotland, ionity, Octopus universe and podpoint app. Covers us for UK & Europe.

Nice to know yours is actually turning up.
