The village shop (charity and local volunteers) has 4 wall pods and is a short walk away and they charge 6 quid for an hour

Moxi
The most those wall pods will be is 7.2kW and it is more likely that they are just 3.6kW, or even less, especially if all 4 are in use at once.

So at best, that is 83p per kWh and could be at least double that. So perhaps you will only be using it if you don't have time to charge slowly at home.

Thanks John S I had assumed the pods were 7.2 kW and the price the shop charged was “marginal” and the main charge plan is the granny socket for now.

I’ve found a few local contractors who can dig up the road and lay me a duct so I can put a home charge point in at a later date so that looks like being part of this years projects.

I will post a few pics once I’ve collected it as long as the forecast snow holds off 😳

I going to collect the car Monday now, too much snow here today for me to want to collect, I will be anxious enough without the addition of traction driving back up the mountain.

Just cracked 5kW first time this year, continuing upward and yes indeedy I was standing watching. :ugeek: We have halved the grid draw in the last 10 days. This is really excellent. :D

Snow has been a big factor in the last couple of days, but my recent purchase of a water fed pole for cleaning windows has come in very handy.
Glad I have easy access onto the garage roof!

Great pics guys. Thankfully no brushes required here but it's been a dismal few days with little PV generation. However, after a morning of snow and sitting here with both ASHP's on the go drawing a total of just under 700W the sun has popped out and batts now recharging. :D
