New "Tyle" sysytem
https://www.solartyle.com/ will doubtless make money out of people who are put off by
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt

Looks like an insert with a thickness similar to a concrete 'marley' tile.
I recently installed a Nulok system which looks thinner than these - https://nulokroofing.com/uk/solar-inserts/ - more the thickness of a slate.
The Nulok 1200mm x 400mm (visible 1200 x 300mm) is either 60W or 66W so the Tyle is higher efficiency. However, Nulok will supply you materials only so you can fix it yourself (as we did).

I see York minster got approval for PV. I've not looked at the application to see what panels / tiles they are going to be using- it is listed.
