Octopus Voltaware

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Ok anyone heard of this before?

https://octopus.voltaware.com/

Seems to be some sort of AI based power consumption monitor works out what different power draws on your home are down to the appliance level, which integrates with Octopus Agile to give you lots of Agile-related fun to lower your bills?

Allegedly even tells you if your fridge is on the blink.

Not sure how relevant but I noticed that on last software update of the Hive system I now have load data per plug displayed. Its quite handy, example being immersion coil.

Likely daft question, but presumably this monitoring software is far more advanced than a smets smart meter? ..does this mean no need to get a dodgy smart meter to get this working? (fingers crossed)

Looks like it has far more Government spying potential into your consumption habits than any SMETS2 meter
