I got given a garmin fitness watch which I never used but decided to give it a try and was surprised to see my heart rate hitting 170 chopping logs, I keep it down to 150 now, just in case.
Good on ye for keeping an eye on it, it's no joke getting older. I've already had my myocardial infarction. Seen it on the screen, saw the dead tissue, did the running tests and all the others, all good. I use a hydraulic splitter. :D Although I do like to test myself now and then, see just how far I've slid from my best day.  Fuck it eh, gotta smile and go out backwards on fire.

Fairly noticing the difference in log consumption last couple of days, I won't be fooled though. Although will enjoy the subtle WBS balancing now possible at higher outdoor temps.

I didn't realise Joeboy. My clot landed elsewhere but mri, carotid ultrasound and lipid and tia tests showed healthy, so I put it down to a vaccination mishap.

Anyway 21C in house and 10C outside so no heating here today,

I had applied for an insulation grant, so had to have an energy efficiency assessment which I was confident our little solid wall house would be worse than the D but it came back as C even with inadequate roof insulation, which I am improving, solid walls and no floor insulation. The pv was a positive that offset the rest.

No worries, how could ye? Water under the bridge and tbh if it hadn't shown up on an ecg during an offshore medical I'd be none the wiser.

I love days like this. Front woodstore is now officially full, 28+kWh PV with 1kWh still incoming. Didn't fire up the WBS until 14.00hrs and did it with Flint & steel when I did. Just an excellent day, solar powered chainsaw and woodsplitter along with WBS fired kettle. 8-)

There are few things in life a satisfying to do and look at as a well stacked log store, a genuine thing of beauty!

Thought I’d play about with our logs this year -

Joke - Seriously, looks good, Joe. If I had the space, skill and patience, I’d love to try the Holz Hausen approach.

Tonights supper (to be cooked) is atlantic salmon cooked at an energy low of 46.6c for 45 mins (& crisped for 45 seconds via induction)
Sesame seed sprinkle & maybe some furikake rice seasoning

Instantpot rice pot in pot method, my 3rd rice meal of the day.

Not quite joe's WBS degree of energy juggling but as long as the pasteurisation time works I'll be a happy lad.(that water pot has to heat a whole 29.4 c above the current kitchen temperature) :ugeek:

I mentioned kikkoman's lemon PONZU, a wee while back, it's back in BM stores, so presumably Heron too!? price gone up to £1 per bottle, but plain rice with ponzu light lemon soy is why it was breakfast & lunch ..very tasty, grab some says I.
1906 ripplewatts @wind Turb-ine-erry
It's the wifes Tesla 3 (she lets me wash it)
Leaf 24
Celotex type insulation stuffed most places
Skip diver to the gentry
Austroflamm WBS
A finger of solar + shed full more

That sounds very nice Gus! We are fish based tomorrow, kedgeree has been promised but may actually be beef stew! Either way WBS will be involved.
